Is the god of weather and war and is one of the chief deities of Indian mythology. Indra was born of heaven and earth, which he separated forever, according to the Vedas. He was best known as a destroyer of demons.
His vehicle is the elephant, Airaveta.
Indra released the sacred force, or light of the world, and is worshipped as the god who brings monsoon rain.
Father of Arjuna, the archer who fought alongside Lord Krishna in the great wars of The Bhagavad Gita and The Mahabarata.
During 14 years of exile, Arjuna was the lover of Ganga, the river goddess. She gave him the powers to be invisible in water.
